• Tariff 2 applies 20% extra from 8pm-6am Mon-Fri & all other public holidays.

Taxi and Hire Vehicle Industries Act 2008 

Tariff charges for Wheelchair Taxis: 

• When five or more passengers are travelling, the high occupancy tariff (Tariff 4) is charged at all times. 
• Flagfall: $5.30
• Tariff 3 (per km): $2.43
• Tariff 4 (per km): $2.90
• Waiting Time (per Minute): $0.73

Tariff 1: between 6:00am and 8:00pm on weekdays (except public holidays), when there is no passenger in a wheelchair travelling.

Tariff 2: between 8:00pm and 6:00am on weekdays and all day on weekends and public holidays when no passenger in a wheelchair is travelling.

Tariff 3: between 6:00am and 8:00pm on weekdays (except public holidays), when at least one passenger in a wheelchair is travelling and there are less than five passengers.

Tariff 4: between 8:00pm and 6:00am on weekdays and all day on weekends and public holidays to wheelchair accessible taxis when at least one wheelchair passenger is travelling. To all wheelchair accessible taxis (maxi taxis) carrying five or more passengers, whether they are in a wheelchair or not, at any time of the day.

Road tolls, ferry charges and entry and exit fees

• 5% credit arrangement surcharge.  
• These charges are payable by the hirer where the driver has incurred these charges as part of the hiring, and can demonstrate payment of a toll, charge or fee.
• $2.60 surcharge may apply to hiring’s originating outside the Hobart, Launceston, Burnie or Devonport taxi areas, between the hours of 12.30am and 5.00am.
• Other charges incurred by driver (such as exit fees) may apply

Vehicle soiling fee

Your driver may charge a fee, up to a maximum of $70, if the taxi is soiled by a person using the taxi.

Please note your driver may ask for a deposit at the commencement of the trip.
